About Myers Briggs Assessments
MBTI assessments are the most widely used talent development assessments in the world and they are used globally. It is based on the personality theories of Carl Jung and the model was developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers who wanted to give as many people as possible access to Jung’s powerful ideas.
Over 20 years of research went into the development of the assessment prior to its initial publication in 1962 and it continues to be refined and updated so we can be sure it remains applicable as our world evolves.
It is one of the few models of personality that describes differences positively with no better or worse type and each type having strengths and blind spots. The MBTI is extremely effective in providing you and your teams with practical ways of being self-aware as well as identifying areas for growth and explanations as to your motivations. The assessment measures preferences as opposed to ability and is a proven personality profiling tool for building understanding for individuals, teams and businesses enabling development opportunities and ultimately improved performance.
